Pharrell Makes Waves with adidas ‘Jellyfish’ at Paris Fashion Week
Okay hold up – has managed to clone himself? Between his role as Creative Director of menswear and his ongoing work with adidas, the multi-hyphenate continues to dominate the fashion landscape. Pharrell’s partnership with which began in 2014, has delivered some of the most iconic sneaker collaborations in recent history. Known for infusing his unique creativity into every project, Pharrell has made this partnership a cornerstone of sneaker and streetwear culture.
Now the designer is teasing his latest creation: the adidas ‘Jellyfish’ sneaker. First glimpsed in chilly Paris during Fashion Week, the silhouette draws inspiration from the classic adidas while pushing the envelope with a futuristic edge. The sneaker boasts a super chunky profile and a distinctive plastic exoskeleton reminiscent of a jellyfish’s fluid and organic form. The off-white and orange colour scheme enhances its bold, modern aesthetic. Adding a playful, personal touch, the word ‘Jellyfish’ is inscribed on the tongue, alongside nods to Pharrell's home state of Virginia and the iconic adidas Trefoil logo.
While specific details remain under wraps, the adidas ‘Jellyfish’ is rumoured to launch in Summer 2025. Expect its release at select retailers and adidas.com.
