Pop Trading Company and Converse Get Cute with Miffy on New Jack Purcells
Following croc skin–wrapped from late last year, the Dutch brand are returning to the skate-skewed , and this time they’re bringing cartoon bunny Miffy along for the ride.
The Amsterdam brand was founded in 2013 by Peter Kolks and Ric van Rest with the goal to create elevated menswear that remains rooted in skate culture and skate style. And that thinking carries into their shoe colabs, which enlist the stabilising higher cut and outsole traction of the Jack Purcell Pro.
This isn’t the first time Kolks and van Rest have played with Miffy in their designs either, having created a menswear capsule featuring her likeness back in 2013. Now, the beloved bunny appears across three iterations of the JP. The first sees a black cord upper sprinkled with embroidered Miffys, while black and white canvas builds bear Miffy holding a balloon printed on the ankle. As with their 2020 link-ups, Pop Trading Company branding is printed in the Jack Purcell ‘smile’.
