Pro Skater Justin Henry Links with Vans for Low-Key Wayvee Colab
Pro skater Justin Henry has lent his touch to ' Wayvee, one of the California-based brand's latest silhouettes. Following up his colab in 2020, Henry's latest pro model pulls inspiration from his Midwest upbringing, commitment to community building and love of relaxed vintage style.
The shoe is dressed in a rich coffee bean brown that's accented with hits of black, a nod to the weathered wooden ramps Henry grew up skating in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio and his personal motif of 'from the ground up,'. Dashes of understated flair are provided by Henry's name stamped on the heel, a leopard print on the insoles and bright red lace aglets.
Besides its looks, the Wayvee is packed with some serious skate tech. Its semi-translucent upper is built from a ripstop material that's bolstered with rubberized print and DURACAP toes. Wafflecup outsoles combine classic cupsole support and vulcanized boardfeel, aiming to provide an ideal balance of cushioning and responsiveness needed for flips and grinds!
If you're looking to add to your skate rotation this fall, the Justin Henry x Vans Wayvee will release with a matching capsule of apparel (pants, sweaters, beanies and more) on the Vans webstore November 4.
