Back in the 70s, Puma was a brash upstart in the tennis brand world, and they nailed the perfect marquee man to hawk their goods, Argentinian Guillermo Vilas. Always exhilarating, Vilas smashed the ball with his left hand and courted thousands of fans and dozens of paramours; his high stripey socks, luscious locks and headband proved a hit with the ladies. He collected Grand Slam titles like a Pokémon master, failing only to capture Wimbledon, and earned a place in the International Tennis Hall of Fame. He did it all flaunting the Form Stripe, and Puma even gave him the chance to make his own dream shoe. The GV Special was born – because Guillermo Vilas was special, we assume – and now it's coming back in a premium ostrich leather makeover.
