Last year, A$AP Rocky was announced as the creative director for the F1 x PUMA partnership, and he subsequently launched his first collection at the resurrection of the Las Vegas Grand Prix. His next release was teased in the campaign imagery that touched down in the 2023 announcement, as he can be seen with the 2000s Inhale OG model on-foot. Sneaker Freaker can now reveal the next full collection, which includes the archival running model in its OG colourway.

Designed by A$AP Rocky, the capsule collection brings together a stack of inventive apparel that channels his reputation for being a ‘Fashion Killa’. One of the highlights is the Formula 1-inspired helmet balaclava that has a subtle Ferrari influence, with AWGE scripted on the helm, a detachable front section, and a drawstring toggle system.

Old school race suits are the inspiration for a matching tracksuit that features faux grease stains for that *authentic* look, and another major highlight from the collection is the gloves, which host an exoskeleton design that draws parallels to the Inhale. A stack of t-shirts will accompany the drop, boasting seat belt graphics and epic Speedcat branding – a nod to PUMA's bestselling model that got its start on the F1 grid. Matching the fluorescent green on one of the t-shirts is a gnarly knit balaclava with distressed features.

The star of the show is of course the Inhale OG, which is set to be resurrected in the instantly recognisable original colourway. As part of this partnership, Rocky has designed custom insoles using a range of vintage-esque PUMA branding, but it will only be included in 150 pairs. An icon of the Big Cat’s 2000s catalogue, the Inhale originally dropped as a low profile running shoe mostly known for its assertive exoskeleton design. For the 2024 variation, which is being primed to drop this May, PUMA have kept the colourway as close to the original as possible. A creamy base layer has been decked out in nylon mesh, with a signature gradient Formstrip along the medial and lateral. While the Inhale has always been an icon in PUMA’s vast catalogue, it’s been a a number of years since the OG launched and it was last seen back in 2019.

Take an exclusive first look at the full PUMA Inhale OG collection, designed by A$AP Rocky. The apparel and Inhale OG will launch through PUMA and select retailers on May 3, with a wider release to follow on May 9. Keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for more.
