PUMA Launches Intergalactic RS 9.8 ‘Gravity’
are continuing to build on their popular RS line, the latest instalment powered by interstellar travel.
Citing the specific speed of gravitational acceleration near the Earth’s surface (9.8m/52), the RS 9.8 ‘Gravity’ takes technological cues from the RS family, incorporating elements like ultra-cushioned sock liners, RS foam, and compression-moulded EVA midsoles.
Driven by a retro-futurist aesthetic, the RS 9.8 still retains the on-trend bulky style expressed by archival running silhouettes of the 1980s. With mesh textile uppers, suede panels, and leather overlays, the RS 9.8 ‘Gravity’ expresses the kind of bulbous contours reminiscent of NASA’s spacecrafts.
PUMA are also launching a new colourway of the , the ‘NASA’ design paying homage to the feats of America’s esteemed space program. The RS revival re-entered orbit in a big way last year, and continues to cast a shadow over the Big Cat’s moves in 2019.
The PUMA RS 9.8 ‘Gravity’ now from , with the RS-X set for lift-off on November 9.
