PUMA Unveils Self-Lacing ‘Fit Intelligence’ Sneaker
first dabbled with self-lacing technology back in 2015 with the , and now they’re set for its next evolution: the ‘Fit Intelligence’ self-lacing system. Utilising the tech on a new cross-training silhouette, the Big Cat look to out-do the with their own adaptive offering.
‘Fit Intelligence’ is designed to learn the shape of the wearer’s foot, adapting the fit for the best lockdown and support. A micromotor placed over the tongue is the heart of the system, with industrial-grade fibre allowing for easy adjustments via a smartphone app or on an Apple Watch.
A perforated grey mesh upper gives off a sleek aesthetic, with textured silver Formstripe and an embossed PUMA logo across the toebox offering classy branding hits. The lacing motor is housed in a silver compartment on the throat, while the fit cables come in aqua blue for a welcome colour pop. A minimal midsole designed for cushioning and support rounds things out.
