RECOUTURE and mita sneakers Rebuild the adidas Consortium Campus 80s

The adidas Campus 80s is a timeless sneaker in its OG guise, but is equally receptive to customisation. That’s exactly what’s happened here on a three-way collaboration with Japan’s mita sneakers, plus famed sneaker cobbler RECOUTURE.

This adidas Consortium-tier colab sees the de- and re-constructed style that RECOUTURE are known for. The resulting effect is a multi-coloured and multi-panelled mix of OG suede colours: navy, maroon, grey, and light blue. On the lateral side, the suede wraps onto the midsole, instead of being tucked underneath like the medial side. Similarly, the medial side of the tongue peeks out underneath the eyestays. The insoles are topped with cork and feature mita sneakers’ signature fonts – but no wire fence motif this time.

Raffles are open now for an in-store release at mita sneakers’ Toyko store on August 29. Which means this is looking like a Japan-only drop. If you’re not in Japan, you can still keep your fingers crossed for an international release from adidas Consortium stockists.
