Reebok Bring Back the OG Kamikaze 2 in Shawn Kemp Colours!
continue to dip into their mid-1990s basketball catalogue. The market has already seen a recent uptick in icons like the and , and now joining the party is the , as fashioned by its signature player: Shawn Kemp.
The Kamikaze 2 has already come back in classic black and white earlier this year for its . But this edition, with that bolt of green in the heel, is a clear tribute to the Reign Man’s Seattle Supersonics days – not to mention also being the colourway that 90s basketball fans have been waiting for. The two-toned uppers alternate between white leather and black nubuck, with the latter jagging through the middle and matching up to the toe box and tongue. If this distinct model wasn’t already recognisable enough, matching green Vector branding on the forefoot and heel declare this as one of Reebok’s best.
Underfoot, two small cut-outs reveal the internal Hexalite cushioning system – which was definitely needed for Kemp’s dominating dunk style. For mere mortals, the forefoot and heel units will provide plenty of languid support, as will the high cut.
The Reebok Kamikaze 2 returns on October 23, and will be available directly from Reebok, or retailers like Foot Locker and DTLR.
