The updated CL arrives in time for the model’s 40th anniversary in 2023, and the Hexalite+ addition is a welcome arrival for wizened sneakerheads seeking out deeper cuts from Reebok’s archive. In short, Hexalite+ technology is inspired by honeycomb – one of the strongest naturally occurring structures – which is adapted for cushioning by providing a light, tough and flexible TPU network to provide support and impact protection. It’s placed under the heel on this new model where it’s most needed.
The rest of the shoe is inspired by the timeless combo of suede and textile, balancing throwback features such as exposed foam seams with more contemporary manufacturing techniques like ‘hotmelt’ side branding. Launching the model are two clean colourways of ‘Black’ and ‘Chalk’.
The Classic Leather Hexalite+ will be available directly from Reebok and select retailers on July 15.
