Reebok Grow the eightyone Collection with Clean Club C Stomper
eightyone Collection is headed up by VAINL ARCHIVE founder Kohei Okita, who has helped remix some classic designs with a clean Far East sensibility and lush materials. The next release under the eightyone (which derives its name from Japan’s +81 dialling code, by the way) is the Club C Stomper – a hybrid of the and .
This model was first used on the from late 2019, but the eightyone edition adds some extra features not immediately obvious from its dark colourway. Using a predominately deep navy upper, there is actually a mixture of materials, including smooth leather on the vamp, and dusty nubuck on the midfoot strap. This strap does away with the need for laces, creating a sleek clean look.
Beneath the strap is a contrasting grey nylon tongue, adding to the material variety. Similarly, the heel tab is nubuck, and below it is an additional external heel counter strip that’s transparent blue. These blue accents are minimal elsewhere, only showing up on the heel embroidery and tongue label. Branding is also low-key, with only the lateral and medial mid panels displaying both eightyone and Reebok spellouts. Finishing touches include an inverted black midsole/grey outsole colour-block, grey lining, and blue insoles.
The Reebok eightyone Club C Stomper is available now from Reebok Japan.
