Reebok Reintroduce Their Heritage to a New Demographic With the ‘My Name Is’ Collection
Reebok are continuing to tap the archives and introducing classics from the 80s to a new demographic with the upcoming ‘My Name Is’ Collection.
Featuring the Classic Leather, Club C 85, BB 4000 II, and LT Court, the collection features their respective names stitched on the tongue. Leather uppers with EVA and rubber make up the midsoles and outsoles, respectively – the collection puts a new lens on the sneaker while still tapping into Reebok’s heritage in archival colourways.
In addition to the editorial photos, Reebok made a mockumentary short film that pokes fun at how overproduced and complicated campaign ads have gotten for sneaker brands which can be seen below.
‘We wanted to have some fun with this spot and flip the script on what’s become of today’s over the top campaign creation process,’ commented Caroline Machen, VP, Global Brand Marketing at Reebok. ‘The end result is a light-hearted piece that we hope will give people a laugh or two.’
The Reebok ‘My Name Is’ Collection is set to drop on April 4, 2023, via Reebok channels and at select retailers ranging from $85-$100 USD.
