Reebok Revive Legendary Black-Toed Question Mid ‘Why Not Us?’
Amid the numerous colourways and commemorative editions of the famed is the reissue of a black-toed remix of the OG signature, dubbed ‘Why Not Us?’. Famously worn by AI in the 2001 NBA All-Star Game – where he helped his Eastern Conference team stage an incredible late comeback to defeat the Western Conference by a single point – this mysterious colourway quietly officially released in 2006. Now it’s back on the eve of the 20th anniversary since that memorable game.
The ‘Why Not Us?’ moniker comes from remarks made by Iverson post-match: ‘Everybody was saying we couldn’t win because of our size. It’s about the size of your heart. Coming into the fourth quarter, we were all sitting on the sideline saying: “Why not us?”’
As for the colourway itself, it’s a straightforward flip of the OG Question, substituting the red toe bumper for stark black, which is complemented at the rear ankle panel, tongue piping, lace loops, and midsole windows. The ‘Why Not Us?’ question (pun very intended) is asked once again behind the tongues.
This time, the Reebok Question Mid ‘Why Not Us?’ will release in full family sizing on March 19, exclusively at Foot Locker, Champs Sports, Footaction, and the Reebok webstore.
