Reebok's Zig Cushioning Returns in an All-New Package
brand new iteration of the old Zig cushioning tech made its debut at Paris Fashion Week as upcoming collaborations from the likes of Chromat and Cottweiler hit the runway. Now the 'bok folks are finally ready to unleash the cushioning technology with the brand new Zig Kinetica Concept_Type 1.
Intended to offer superior energy return in a slick prototype-style package, the Zig Kinetica Concept_Type 1 features an upper designed by none other than founder Ian Paley. The layered, semi-translucent look is made up of microvent mesh and seamless synthetics while an adjustable strap locks in to the moulded heel counter for customised support.
As for the brand new Zig tooling, it's a far cry from the over-the-top Zig of old. The new system is a three-parter that includes high-rebound Floatride Fuel in the heel, a rubber band-like Energy Web that provides a propulsive response, and an Energy Shell for stability and durability.
Expect the new Zig tooling to appear on a variety of silhouettes and look for the Zig Kinetica Concept_Type 1 to launch November 8 for $180 in four different colourways.
