Release Details: The adidas Yeezy Foam Runner in ‘Ochre’
The continues to crank necks in 2021, the interstellar design arriving in a starburst of colourways so far this year.
The latest colourway to arrive is a muted ‘Ochre’ design suiting the muted vernacular of the Yeezy label more broadly, the golden yellow hue again manufactured in a unique foam compound that blends lightweight EVA with harvested algae.
First glimpsed at the Innovation Festival in late 2019, the Foam Runner is still a lynchpin of Yeezy’s more eco-conscious footwear ambitions.
‘We’re going to be farming and going seed-to-sow, and have our own cotton hydroponic farm and our own hemp farm and our own wheat farm so we can see every element and get into how we can have less impact with the dyes,’ Kanye told the crowd at the Fast Company Innovation Festival in 2019. ‘Our colour is a big signature of the brand, but also dying is one of the main things that’s impacting the planet in the fashion industry . . . so we’re just being responsible from A to Z.’
Look for the adidas Yeezy Foam Runner ‘Ochre’ to release on September 18. The retail price is locked at $80.
