Release Details: Skepta x Nike Air Max Tailwind 5 ‘Bloody Chrome’

UK grime artist Skepta has already established an impressive sneaker catalogue with Nike, the Tottenham talent collaborating on silhouettes like the Air Max 97, Shox TL and, more recently, the Air Max Tailwind 5.

Launching on April 4, the Air Max Tailwind 5 ‘Bright Blue’ harnessed the idea of metamorphosis, the uppers dressed in a beautiful blue, phosphorescence pattern reminiscent of butterfly wings.

Now, we’re getting a brand new colourway of the Tailwind 5, the ‘Bloody Chrome’ rendition scheduled to land next month. Again imprinted with butterfly print across the uppers, the Tailwind 5 incorporates a chrome Swoosh and soleplate, a homage to Skepta’s love of jewellery. Of course taking inspiration from Skepta’s seminal 2019 album Ignorance Is Bliss.

The Skepta x Nike Air Max Tailwind 5 ‘Bloody Chrome’ lands on June 12.
