Release Date Confirmed: The Air Jordan 1 KO ‘Storm Blue’
The official release details have been confirmed for the upcoming ‘Storm Blue’ – with pairs landing before the end of this month! Rumours started circulating about this drop earlier in the year, with an initial batch of hitting the airwaves in May, followed by back in July, and then the arrival of the legit brand pics late last month to really elevate the excitement levels.
The Air Jordan 1 KO first hit the scene in 1986, alongside the more prolific High and Low versions of first signature model, but the backstory of the KO is often debated. Some members of the sneakersphere claim the ‘KO’ in the name stands for ‘knock-off’ – in reference to the silhouette’s less premium construction and materials – and the canvas upper and chunkier styling tend to support that theory. Regardless of the origins for this niche design, the AJ1 KO ‘Storm Blue’ is likely to be welcomed by many as a worthy follow-up to the sleeper success of the that hit stores back in May.
The ‘Storm Blue’ Air Jordan 1 KO is scheduled to drop via SNKRS on September 29.
