Rick Owens and Converse Ready Second Set of DRKSTAR Chuck 70 Colabs
' neverending quest to 'distort the ubiquitous' has found a willing partner in , and the pair are set to release a second set of takes on Owens' . Following up the first batch of DRKSTAR Chucks, which dropped in November 2021, the 'Dark Lord' has opted to flip-flop colours for a fresh-yet-familiar look.
Owens' DRKSTAR Chucks combine a classic canvas upper with the rubberised toe cap of his Ramones sneakers, a famous original silhouette that was debuted at his DRKSHDW SS14 runway. The combo of Chuck and Ramones continues on the midsole, with the former taking up residence on the midfoot while the latter graces the forefoot and heel. There's also an extra-long tongue that extends well above each shoe's collar.
Both high and low-top options are available, and although their build is unchanged from the inaugural batch of DRKSTAR drops, there are more colours: both the high and low-top iterations are arriving in white and black. The DRKSTAR is Owens' third original silhouette with Converse, following up August 2021's and July 2021's square-toed . Accompanying the kicks are two co-branded bags and a hat.
Expect both pairs to release via the Rick Owens and Converse web stores come February 22. High-tops are priced at $170 and low-tops at $165.
