Update August 24, 2022: An official release date for the sacai x Nike Cortez 'OG' has been announced, with the upcoming collaboration slated for August 31.

sacai and Nike's latest colab, a futuristic iteration of the Cortez, was first revealed in the former brand's FW22 lookbook, where we were given a fleeting look at its double-stacked detailing, technical enhancements and colour schemes. Though we've still got months to go until they drop, more images are slowly yet surely rolling out. As part of that stream of leaks, we've now gotten a closer look at the white, red and blue pair via @solebyjc.

Taking the Cortez's most iconic colour scheme and bringing it into the future, these striking sacai x Nike shoes are centred around a sharply-lined midsole with an extended slab of foam on the heel and a puck-like exposed Zoom Air unit on the forefoot – a piece of tech that's usually used on Nike Running footwear. The top half's mixture of leather and suede is more classic Cortez, but in true sacai fashion, nothing is too simple. There are two Swooshes, two heel overlays, two tongues and even a full-on second collar that rises slightly above its counterpart.
