‘Sail’ in the Stylish and Cosy Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT
Let’s be real for a moment: the could do with a little more cushioning. An entire day of flexing AJ1s on the Gram takes its toll on the feet, as they get battered from the combination of firm rubber soles and 35-year-old Air tech. Thankfully, want sneakerheads to have their cake and eat it too – i.e. to create an AJ1 that looks good, but is also super comfy. Enter the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT.
This isn’t the first time this model has graced the sneaker blogosphere – see the recent – but this simple and clean ‘Sail’ edition as part of inline offerings suggests there will be a slew of GR colourways coming soon. At face value, the design hasn’t changed all that much. The leather uppers look softer than usual, and they’re generously lined with foam collars, plus a pseudo double-layered ankle that’s one part inner bootie, one part exposed foam Off-White offshoot. There’s also plenty of mesh atop the tongue and cored-out Swoosh to vent off excess fuego.
Furthermore, this contemporary update hides some incumbent comfort tech too. As the long model name signifies, there is Zoom Air embedded in the soles underneath the heel. It’s simply springier and more resilient than the regular stuff.
In any case, take them for a whirl from February 2.
