Saucony Shine a Light on the Shadow 6000 for 30th Anniversary
With a rich running catalogue behind them, it’s good to see are acknowledging their heritage with the latest reissue of the in OG form, which has actually been celebrating somewhat of an extended reunion tour. This model has been back in the spotlight thanks to a slew of in-line colourways joined by high-profile collaborations, such as the Up There drop.
First releasing in 1991, the Shadow 6000 remains an impressively comfortable retro runner with all of the hallmarks of sneakers from that era. This is namely seen from the use of microfibre and mesh for lightweight breathability, despite this material combo’s susceptibility to dust and grime. Don’t worry, they look better a bit beat up anyway. This OG colourway sees a predominately white base with grey mudguard inserts and dark navy branding on the midfoot logo, plus contrast red Saucony stitching on the tongue and heels. On the tech front, there’s a thick and dense foam midsole hiding an internal Ionic Cushioning System, in addition to a plush footbed.
The Saucony Shadow 6000 in its OG colourway is available now directly from Saucony’s webstore, alongside 14 other options. It’s certainly a lot to choose from.
