24 Kilates and SBTG Drench the Diadora N9000 in ‘Vino Veritas’ and Velvet
Since its debut in 1990, the has aged like a fine wine, evolving to be considered a premium good among discerning sneakerheads. A series of collaborative colourways will commemorate the model’s 30th anniversary over the coming months. First up will be an intercontinental escapade among Spanish-Thai boutique , Singaporean customiser , and Diadora’s Made In Italy facilities.
Dubbed the ‘Vino Veritas’, a Latin phrase meaning ‘In wine, there is truth’, 24 Kilates and SBTG draw upon their individual contexts and lay out a very personalised touch on the heritage Diadora style. 24 Kilates tap into the rich wine-producing Montsant region of their native Spain, ensconcing the toe cap, heel counter, and eye stays in vibrant velvet. SBTG stealthily slips in signature camouflage jacquard fabric – hiding a custom vineyard pattern – across the toe box and mid panel. Buttery tumbled leather beefs up the side branding and tongue, then custom co-branded logos and dubraes stamp the three-way effort on this colab. Other finishing details include an essential gum rubber outsole, metal lace aglets, and multiple lace options. Plus, camo shoeboxes and velvet dust bags are super classy.
Like many luxury items, supply is limited. Only 800 pairs of the 24 Kilates x SBTG x Diadora N9000 will be released worldwide, so the hunt will be on come November 14. Just don’t spill the claret on that velvet!
