ASICS x SBTG x Limited Edt Team Up on the GEL-Lyte III 'Monsoon Patrol'
, aka sneaker artist Mark Ong, has linked up with and well-known Singapore footwear retailer Limited Edt to bring us a highly anticipated colab. Dubbed the 'Monsoon Patrol', it's a sneaker built with one thing in mind: braving the harsh wet Singapore weather. SBTG did his thing, completely revamping the classic GEL-Lyte III silhouette.
As well as regular GEL technology, the pair has been blessed with a triple-density sole and a new take on the split tongue design. The main thing setting this pair of shoes apart though is the standout removable nylon tongue cover, strapped on using a gutter hook system. Finished off with a green colourway and camo hits, this is definitely a pair to have on your feet when harsh weather hits.
Accompanying the sneaker is a limited edition pack containing the shoes, a dry bag, an umbrella, and a jacket. Monsoon branding is present on all the items, with the jacket baring a large 'MONSOON PATROL' on the back. The pack will be exclusively at Culture Cartel — Asia's first street culture convention — from the 1st to the 2nd of December. If you can't make it to Culture Cartel, the kicks and jacket will be available online from December 1 to December 8 in Malaysia, Thailand and Phillippines.
