Serena Williams Design Crew 2023 Class Deliver Nike Dunk Low Disrupt 2
The 2023 Design Crew has started dropping their designs for the year, first with official photos of the vibrant and now with a Disrupt 2. This one is more intense than the AM-1, with five colours used heavily throughout as opposed to the very orange AM-1.
The base is constructed of a smooth white leather, with the overlays coming in all the feature colours. The same orange from the AM-1 comes through on the toe overlay, heel cuff, and outline of the Swoosh, as well as some accents on the heel. The ‘Clear Jade’ that was also used on the AM-1 makes an appearance and mirrors the pieces that are in ‘Baltic Blue’. The mirroring occurs on each of the lateral sides, with the colours featuring on the eyestay overlays that wrap around the side and heel. The ‘Baltic Blue’ appears again on a translucent lace loop and outsole, with the ‘Clear Jade’ providing contrast on a similarly translucent heel guard.
The final touch on the SWDC design is a deep blue heel tab that has a ‘Clear Jade’ Swoosh and orange patterns. The deep blue also appears on the outside of the tongue, along with the fifth and final colour, a light pink, appearing in the centre and the insole. A defining feature of the model is an debossed design on the lateral overlays in the form of swirls and lines. This also appeared on the AM-1, so it wouldn’t be bold to assume it was the signature of the 2023 class.
