Slam Jam Bring Their Rebel Attitude to the Nike Dunk High
Italian streetwear renegades have again linked up with , this time for two with subtle and unique details.
Founded in 1989 by Luca Benini, Slam Jam was built to serve what they like to call the ‘global underground’, bringing likeminded people together through art, clothing and music. Spanning multiple subcultures, and after over 30 years in the business, they’ve brought their wayward design principles to kicks such as the and the ultra-limited .
Bringing that same attitude to this Nike collaboration, they’ve reworked two colourways of the Dunk High: one in mostly-black, and the other in a tonal white and grey. Although both colourways are quite simple, the devil is in the details. Both rock a semi-translucent Swoosh that protrudes at the rear and matches the icy midsole. There’s also an upside-down logo on the tongue label. Slam Jam have also played around with the perforated toe box detail that can be usually found on the Dunk High, adding a singular straight line down the middle, and along the lateral side.
Drop details have been locked in for both pairs, and they’ll be receiving separate releases – so read carefully! The tonal white will be arriving exclusively at via raffle and on on October 3. Then the black pair will drop later in the month on October 30 at select retailers. We’ll be sure to whip up a Where to Buy guide for the black pair closer to the drop.
