Silver Surfer: Slam Jam and New Balance Reveal Their 1906L Loafer

New Balance converting their 1906R sneaker into a loafer isn’t fresh news, but it looks like Junya Watanabe isn’t the only collaborator who’ll be putting his spin on the silhouette. A surprise post from Slam Jam has hinted that the retailer has their own take on the shoe on the way, and it's clear that more details will be revealed very soon.

Taking to the ‘Gram to reveal the shoe’s distinctive toebox, Slam Jam’s NB 1906R Loafer isn’t exactly a subtle dress shoe option, as it comes in a metallic silver colourway. A combination of mesh and leather pays homage to the 1906R’s sporty origins, while a subtle silver ‘N’ sits at the throat.

So far, no more images or information has been revealed, but Slam Jam have hinted that more details will follow between 7-10pm CET on April 16. Stay tuned for all the info!
