The Slam Jam x Salomon XT-4 'Strata' is Ready to Erupt

Luca Benini’s Slam Jam imprint are set to collaborate with Salomon on a scorching-hot rendition of the XT-4, the colourway inspired by Italy’s volcanic landscapes.

Adopting the ashen hues and rich landscapes from several of Italy's active and inactive volcanoes, the colab places particular emphasis on Mount Etna in Sicily, where the majority of the campaign film was captured.

‘Eruptions are sensational moments, and cause both excitement and fear at the same time,’ Slam Jam reflected on their website. ‘Since ancient times, lava rocks and humans established a fruitful relationship, from the first roads built on.’

Designed to harness the seismic nature of volcanic activity, the collaboration of course extends the trail vernacular of Salomon’s classic XT-4, the intrepid silhouette continuing to make broader in-roads into the lifestyle category in recent years (along with many other Salomon models).

The Slam Jam x Salomon XT-4 Strata will release at Slam Jam’s Paris Fashion Week pop-up on June 22. The collaboration will also arrive at Slam Jam locations and select retailers.
