Smash Your Workout in the New Gen Nike Air Zoom SuperRep 2
It’s been an entire year since their new category of workout-specific sneakers known as the SuperRep. Designed around cross-training and gym use, particularly for high intensity interval training (HIIT), the Air Zoom SuperRep has just received a subtle nip-tuck update that will make it even better for your workout. This new successor is simply known as the Air Zoom SuperRep 2.
The Air Zoom SuperRep 2 actually hasn’t changed all that much from its predecessor. Its distinct visible forefoot Zoom Air units have carried over along with the unique midsole split at the arch, connected to wide, flared individual outsole sections for stability. Between the toe bumper and forefoot units is what Nike call the ‘Burpee Break’, a small notch in the sole that allows extra bendability. What’s new is the fact that the design has ditched the ubiquitous neoprene bootie for a separate ‘burrito-style’ tongue that allows for better foot lockdown, and a roomier toe box to account for activity- and heat-induced swelling.
Releasing on December 10, the Nike Air Zoom SuperRep 2 will first be available in China, followed by December 26 across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia (EMEA), then the rest of the world on January 4.
