The Social Status x Nike Mac Attack Wears Away!

Update July 5, 2023: It’s official, we’ve got a drop date for the Social Status x Nike Mac Attack ‘Silver Linings’. The sneaker will drop in phases, with local priority access at every Whitaker Group store and a general raffle on socialstatuspgh.com on July 6. A wider launch will drop on July 14 via Social Status channels, retailing for $140.

Alongside the release, Social Status dropped a short film called '1st & 15th', about a kid named Q's journey and desire to cop the collaborative sneaker. Peep the short film below.

Update June 26, 2023: Detailed photos of the upcoming Social Status x Nike Mac Attack hit the web courtesy of @hidden.ny. Seen in a Sail/Metallic Silver colourway with wear-away uppers, Social Status and Nike branding are seen on the tongue tag, sans the checkboard pattern seen on the OG Mac Attack. It looks like rumours of the Nike Mac Attack returning are accurate as we get a first glance at the upcoming Social Status x Nike Mac Attack collection. The signature sneaker of tennis legend John McEnroe, the retailer is kicking off the return of the cult classic sneaker for 2023. Similarly, Social Status has done previously with sneakers such as the Nike Air Max Penny 1 and Penny 2 last year that had general release colourways to follow.

Teased by Philadelphia 76er PJ Tucker, it looks like the collection features three colourways, in white/black, white/gold/kelly green, and white/grey/indigo/university blue, all in mismatched form. Distressing is featured on one shoe, seen on the Swoosh, ankle collar, and heel overlay with Social Status and Nike co-branding debossed on the heel.

Mesh makes up the uppers with suede overlays in their respective colours with more co-branding seen on the tongue tag and insoles. All feature a white midsole with the green distressed pair using a pre-aged look with the respective outsoles seen in black, gum, and translucent blue.

The Social Status x Nike Mac Attack is expected to drop sometime in 2023 via Social Status, SNKRS, and select retailers. Keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for any updates.
