Release Date Announced: South Park x adidas Collection
The collaborative effort between South Park and has been popping up piece by piece over the last few months, with styles inspired by some of the show's most notable characters and moments appearing sporadically. Now, however, the entire six-shoe collection has been revealed and given an official release date.
The first pair is a , fittingly made for Stan Marsh. It boasts a blue and red colour scheme inspired by his signature pom beanie and even offers a clever logo flip on its tongue, nodding to the Stan synergy between Marsh and the shoe's original namesake. It's also constructed of at least 50 per cent recycled content by weight. Next is a , crafted for Eric Cartman. It features a poofy build inspired by Cartman's red puffer jacket and adds blue and yellow details that draw from his headwear of choice.
Kenny McCormack is memorialized with an orange that uses humourous details as an acknowledgement of his repeated demise(s) in the show's first five seasons and beyond. Chief among these is an acronym on the foremost midsole brick that nods to one of South Park's most well-known catchphrases. Kyle Broflovski is represented by a that features a green and orange colour scheme inspired by his outfit. There's a clever snap closure on the tongue that nods to the pockets on his blaze orange jacket, and chenille detailing on both the Three Stripe graphic and the heel tab.
Finally, there's a duo of shoes inspired by alter egos. An draws from Professor Chaos, the 'supervillain' version of Butters. His costume is replicated with light blue mesh and silver foil. Last but certainly not least is the Forum Low 'AWESOM-O,' which nods to a 'robot' that Cartman creates in hopes of getting Butters to tell him all his deepest secrets. It features a cardboard-inspired texture, colourful detailing, elastic laces and a special branded hit on its strap.
You can expect the entire South Park x adidas collection to release via the adidas webstore, Foot Locker and Champs Sports on March 21 alongside apparel and accessories.
