Special Edition adidas Blackburn SPZL Limited to 200 Pairs

Following the announcement of a exhibition at the inaugural British Textile Biennial, program consultant Gary Aspden has announced a commemorative silhouette.

Known as the Blackburn SPZL, it uses the same tooling as the archival Athens model, but the upper has been tweaked. This new ‘city’ series sneaker is classic adi styling, in lush green suede and orange contrast stripes.

There should be a general release version coming but, during the exhibition, visitors will have the chance to own one of 200 pairs featuring Nightsafe branded insoles. Nightsafe is a youth homelessness charity that will be receiving proceeds from the sale of the Blackburn SPZL, and any donations over the course of the event.
