Sports Illustrated Theme Hits Air Jordan 1s

In December 1984, Sports Illustrated put NBA rookie  on their cover and proclaimed ‘A Star Is Born’. How right they were. And now you can get an  that pays homage to the iconic moment.

The colourway borrows directly from the original SI cover design, including a somewhat strange nod to the Milwaukee Bucks players Jordan is seen flying through — the stripes on their uniform are reflected in the . Other special touches include the headline ‘A Star Is Born’ replicated on the side lace flaps.

No release date has been given, but they are expected to drop later this year.
