The adidas City Series Visits Madrid
Madrid is an international travel destination that boasts world-famous football teams, a melting paella pan of delicious food, and centuries of beautiful art – among many other attractions. Now the city can once again boast the fact it has its own sneaker too, known by the same name.
Appearing in delectable shades of chocolate brown, the terrace classic Madrid is perfect in its combination of leather and suede uppers – the latter material adding sturdy reinforcement to the toe bumper, while the rear section hugs the foot like a glove. The caramel brown accents on the Three Stripes branding, heel tab, and inner lining is simply delectable. The insoles display a repeating adidas spell-out artwork in OG white and blue. It may be a hidden detail on-foot, but it’s the sort of stuff trainerspotters look for.
Underfoot, the slightly chunky sole unit is lifted from the , another one of adi’s classic casual shoes. Instead of the typical hard slab of white contrast, things are tonal here, with more dark brown to match the textured tongue and shoelaces. Like all classic adidas shoes, gold-coloured stamped branding on the tongue and lateral panel complete the package.
The adidas Madrid will release on February 12 at boutique retailers like Hanon, who currently have raffles open for a chance to purchase.
