The adidas Predator Accelerator 4D EQT is Packed Full of Three Stripe Tech
Tonight, will be releasing a new hybrid model called the Accelerator . Slated to be more than just a mouthful, this chimeric creation has drawn from decades of Three Stripes innovation across multiple genres (and surfaces) to form a street-ready sneaker.
The long name is a result of calling out the various inspiration sources for this model. Back in the late 1990s, the Predator Accelerator was one of adi’s most formidable football boots, which was characterised by oversized stripes and raised rubber elements on the forefoot for improved ball contact. These idiosyncratic features are reprised on this new sneaker, and are joined by the signature white and green colourway of the EQT (Equipment) line – coincidentally celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
Furthermore, the merger with modern day is confirmed through the inclusion of the light green 4D printed midsole, representing the current pinnacle of adidas technology. Funnily enough, this impressive display of performance engineering has been put into a lifestyle model. However, the leather toe box and Primeknit tongue, combined with the aforementioned rubber bumpers, means this shoe is still somewhat ready for impromptu athleticism.
The Predator Accelerator 4D EQT will release tonight from adidas Australia, so it’s likely international regions will also see availability very soon.
