The adidas UltraBOOST ‘Oreo Toe’ is a Tasty Feet Treat
has directly and indirectly inspired many sneaker colourways, with the cookie’s black and white speckle a particularly popular reference source. The latest shoe to twist, lick and dunk is the ‘Oreo Toe’, which shows restraint with the theme.
These UBs contain all the hallmarks of the coveted kick that was originally a high-performance running shoe back in 2015, before becoming a street classic. Find almost all-black Primeknit uppers, save for the flecked weave on the toe bumper; blacked-out BOOST soles, which are an instant desirable feature; and in fact, tonal black lace cage hardware too. In essence, this is a ‘Triple Black’ colourway with ‘Oreo’ toe treatment. Add the fact this is the 1.0 version of the upper – the most popular iteration of the UltraBOOST design – and this edition should be a winner. But, that’s not all! The latest UB releases now use Primeblue in their composition, which means 75 per cent of the textile used in the upper is made of recycled materials, sourced in part from Parley Ocean Plastic. So, a shoe that looks good also now does good.
The UltraBOOST ‘Oreo Toe’ is available now from adidas Australia, so expect global availability in the coming weeks.
