The Air Jordan 3 ‘Racer Blue’ Follows OG Conventions
It’s always a good thing whenever an emerges in a colourway reminiscent of the OG editions from 1988. And this upcoming ‘Racer Blue’ certainly has shades of the essential ‘Fire Red’ original.
Red may be long associated with the Air Jordan line, given its proximity to the Chicago Bulls kit, but blue has also been there right since the start. For example, the ‘Royal’ and ‘Metallic Blue’ debuted back in 1985-86, and the ‘Military Blue’ is an excellent OG. And who could forget the Air Jordan 3 ‘True Blue’ OG? Meanwhile, the model was graced with various blue colourways during its 2010s retro era, such as the ‘Sport Blue’, ‘Blue Cement’, and ‘UNC’.
But for the ‘Racer Blue’, the colour simply shows itself on the midsole strip, Jumpman branding, eyelet inserts, ankle collar, and heel branding. The rest is true to the script, featuring tumbled white leather and the iconic grey elephant print on the toe cap and heel counter.
The Air Jordan 3 ‘Racer Blue’ is scheduled to release on July 10 via Nike and the usual Jumpman spots like . Good odds are this will be a hit colourway.
