The Air Jordan 4 ‘Fire Red’ 2020 Retro is Lighting Up November
November is usually a month of big sneaker releases in the lead up to Christmas, and the end of the month will be seriously heating up this year with the long-awaited return of the ‘Fire Red’. This 2020 retro marks the first time the OG colourway has been reissued since 2012, but more significantly is the return of the all-important Nike Air heel branding, which hasn’t been seen since the 1989 debut.
Period-correct branding aside, have in recent years strived to improve the quality and accuracy of their retro releases through various guises of the Remastered program. The AJ4 is a particularly scrutinised silhouette, as its frequent retro cycle has many sneakerheads comparing each version to earlier releases. While it’s still a few weeks out from release, these official ecomm shots suggest this will be a pretty good retro.
There was some momentary consternation when the emerged a few weeks ago, with online commentary freaking out about the shade of red. But it looks like it will be indeed ‘Fire Red’ that covers the midsole, lining, and lace ‘wings’. While the white leather and black accented upper is pretty foolproof. Packaged with Nike Air swingtags and original spec box, most Jordan lovers will be happy to collect and/or rock this release.
That’s provided they get the W on Nike SNKRS, when the Air Jordan 4 ‘Fire Red’ releases on November 28.
