The Air Jordan 7 ‘Flint’ Is Ready to Return
After word starting circulating about this retro almost a year ago, we now have official images and a release date for the ‘Flint’. And it looks to be quite a faithful rendition of the scheme that debuted back in 2006. Composed with a calming combo of ‘Flint Grey’, white, ‘Varsity Purple’, and black, the colourway is relatively low-key, save for those aforementioned purple pops.
The Air Jordan 7 was originally released in 1992, and represents an important chapter in history. First of all, it was the silhouette on feet when he led the star-studded Dream Team to a gold medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. That was a moment that is often credited for fully launching MJ’s name into the global consciousness, the GOAT making the most of performing on the truly international stage. As if it predicted the newfound worldwide fame that was about to greet its namesake, the AJ7 was the first Air Jordan silhouette to not feature any Nike branding on the exterior, as the range started to be marketed separately from Nike Basketball.
Pairs of the Air Jordan 7 ‘Flint’ are expected to hit Nike and selected Jumpman stockists such as on May 8.
