This edition combines black and white with ‘Game Royal’ and ‘Speed Yellow’, which seems to mirror the colour scheme that adorned the Blazer mentioned above.
Scottie Pippen’s Air More Uptempo has been gracing the hardwood for more than two decades now. Paying homage to the oversized graffiti movement of the 1990s, the outrageous design was penned by Wilson Smith and featured exposed full-length cushioning and ‘AIR’ branding that threatened retinas with graphic overload. When it was first released in 1996, Pippen was reportedly a little shocked by the aesthetic. In his words, ‘I thought it was a little overwhelming!’
Pairs of the Air More Uptempo ‘Peace, Love, Basketball’ are hitting Nike and selected Swoosh stockists on October 22.
