The Air Trainer 1 ‘Chlorophyll’ OG Returns in Nike SB Form
Good news, everyone! The classic in its OG ‘Chlorophyll’ colourway is returning very, very soon. Old ‘heads and new jacks will rejoice alike for this long overdue retro, which was . However, there is a twist this time: it’s been reworked under the umbrella. As you’ll soon find out, is not a bad thing!
While the AT1 began life as a cross-trainer in , its effective versatility was quickly proven when hotshot John McEnroe wore them and smashed the competition on the tennis court. And when the strapping mid-cut entered the retro cycle in the 2000s, it eventually became a skate favourite because of its beefy upper and grippy tread.
So, it’s no surprise the ‘Chlorophyll’ has been reissued as a Nike SB sneaker. The OG make-up of grey suede and white leather joined by that ‘Chlorophyll’ green accent makes for a super easy-to-wear sneaker that’ll look as good on the grip-tape as it does the pavement. Also, if it’s true to spec, details like the elasticated tongue gussets, firm yet responsive Air sole, and forefoot strap will please both skaters and sneaker nerds.
So, when are they releasing? October 3. Keep an eye on select skate stores like in the UK, but expect them to land globally around the same time.
