The Converse All Star BB Evo and G4 'Graffiti' Balance Grit and Beauty
Amid their triumphant return to the hardwood, are taking a step back from the bright lights of the NBA to acknowledge the courts that cultivated some of basketball’s greatest talents. Inspired by New York City basketball legends who made their names in the park, the all-new Converse Graffiti Collection celebrates the expressive, gritty scenes found at the many blacktops scattered across Manhattan.
The nickname ‘blacktop’ refers to the outdoor suburban courts found across cities worldwide. These asphalt arenas are often surrounded by stunning street art, and it’s those colours and motifs that provide the muse for this latest performance-geared pack.
Featuring two models, the collection is headlined by the all-conquering Evo. The React-infused baller has been given a wild makeover, with a black and white base contrasted with eye-searing accents. A pink punch is delivered via the laces, as yellow branding highlights the lateral side. Look a little lower, and you’ll notice graffiti-style paint speckles across the mudguard and heel.
The brand’s newest hardwood hero – the G4 – also makes a big statement. Designed for explosive play, the low-cut model comes armed with bright blue laces and its very own unique speckled details. In this case, however, it’s all about that sole – covered in pink and equipped with React and Air Zoom tech.
Ready for play, the Converse Graffiti Collection is available now!
