The Inspiration Behind the LeBron Watch PEs

LeBron Watch PE project is in full swing. hit the hardwood wearing the third pair this week when he played in Denver, and Nike are taking a moment to look at the inspiration behind the colourways so far.

The first one, released on January 30, honours Bill Bowerman’s Waffle Trainer. The second, from February 3, is coloured for Nike’s Diamond Turf Trainer, and this week’s pair takes after 1991’s legendary ACG Mowab.

Nike says there will be five PEs in total, so you haven’t missed your chance to get involved. Judging by the gif Nike shared, the remaining two could draw from the Air Max, Nike Tennis, or even LeBron’s own catalogue. Tune in to the upcoming Cavaliers games, and you’ll be the first to find out.
