The JJJJound x Vans Sk8-Mids are Releasing Soon
Justin Saunders’ ultra-aesthetic is back with for their second collaboration, this time on the . After our at the trio of colourways way back in May, release details have just come through, informing that we’ll see an August drop!
The Sk8-Mid launched way back in 1978 as Vans’ first high-top skate sneaker, complete with a protective ankle guard. This mid-top look was short-lived as 12 months later Vans dropped the which in-turn dominated their skate offering. JJJJound is now looking to revive the model in three seperate colourways. One has been decked out in a stealth black with contrasting white stitching. Another boasts a tonal brown look, while the third rocks a slew of green hues, both reminiscent of last year’s .
The upper of each has been constructed using a gentle suede, with the usual rubber sole unit down below and the usual Vans branding. Similar to the rest of JJJJound’s expansive catalogue, they choose to be subtle with branding, adding a singular tag on the heel of the right shoe.
Each colourway of the JJJJound x Vans Sk8-Mid will be releasing on seperate days, the ’Black’ hits on August 10, the ‘Brown’ on August 11, and ‘Green’ arrives on August 12. Following the JJJJound website-exclusive release, a larger global drop will occur at select Vans stockists on August 14.
