The Kiko Kostadinov Team and ASICS Craft the HS1-S Tarther Blast
The and collaborative legacy has come to an end. The duo decided to call it quits, bringing a natural end to their prosperous partnership. However, if you were a fan of the duo’s work, then you'll be pumped to see their new arrangements. Rather than directly collaborating on sneakers, the Kiko Kostadinov team will now consult and work alongside ASICS to help with the creation of new silhouettes and colour palettes, as well as all-round creative direction. We’ve already received the widely successful , which helped set the scene for the comeback of the original .
Back at it once again, we’ve got a crep that looks like it’s serious about running, dubbed the HS1-S Tarther Blast.
Inspired by both older and newer ASICS silhouettes, this sneaker features an upper that calls on obvious archival ASICS traits, with a low-key look elevated with a synthetic and leather made from recycled materials. Suede has also been added along the heel and eyestays with a mesh tongue. Another nice detail is the ventilation that’s been placed onto toe box with small holes allowing for extra breathability. Down below, the FLYTEFOAM sole unit looks to be the same one used on the recent NOVABLAST silhouette. Additionally, two colourways have surfaced of the HS1-S Tarther Blast, a blue with hits of white, and tonal teal with pops of grey and blue.
Both colour combos of the HS1-S Tarther Blast have been locked in to release on January 29 at select ASICS retailers. They’ll retail for $120.
