The Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS GEL-TESERAKT Has Arrived

The collaborative partnership between Kiko Kostadinov and ASICS is slowly coming to an end, with the GEL-Kiril 2 and the women’s exclusive GEL-TESERAKT being the grand finale that they deserve. But fans of the Bulgarian designer’s work with ASICS shouldn’t fret yet, because we recently got word that the Kiko team will still be working alongside the Japanese sneaker company, helping to create new silhouettes, discover different materials, and deliver fresh new colour palettes.

Before they start rolling in, the GEL-TESERAKT has finally arrived. A collaborative crep created under Kostadinov’s womenswear line – helmed by twins Laura and Deanna Fanning – the GEL-TESERAKT follows the same aesthetic as the Kiko Kostadinov Autumn/Winter 2020 women’s runway offerings, and it presents a play on perceptions.

Two colourways have been created of the anticipated sneaker: ‘Gunmetal’ and ‘Pure Gold’. Inspired by a previous ASICS silhouette named the GEL-FRANTIC 6, the GEL-TESERAKT wears a similar look that’s been accentuated by the bold metallic finish. The duo purposely kept the upper very subtle and minimalistic so the eyes are drawn to that beautiful midsole. Does it look familiar? That’s because it’s the FLYTEFOAM Propel unit that was used on Kiko’s GEL-Kiril.

Both pairs of the Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS GEL-TESERAKT dropped on October 24 at select retailers.
