The Levi’s x New Balance 990v3 Is ‘Denimishly’ Handsome

The long and proud tradition of denim-adorned sneakers is set to write another chapter, after images emerged of an upcoming Levi’s x New Balance  990v3. The neat union of two iconic American brands, this release opts for a lighter shade of blue than most denim kicks, and also features shaggy suede overlays in addition to the requisite denim panels.

The 990v3 has been in solid form recently thanks to collaborative heavy-hitters like  Bodega,  Joe Freshgoods and  Kith. Arguably one of the better kept secrets in the sneakersphere, the third-generation rendition of the 990 remains a darling of NB’s royal 99X series, despite the indelible catalogue being more recently dominated by the steady stream of 990v5 arrivals. In fact, the 990v3 has been such a strong performer in 2021 that its colab with Joe Freshgoods graced the cover of Issue 45 of  Sneaker Freaker magazine! The 990v3 also made a recent appearance on Sneaker Freaker’s list of the surprise sneaker hits of 2021 (so far).
