The New Balance 1400 Returns with a Tan
have spent decades drawing in an international cult of kick coveters hunting down the brand’s occasionally cryptic numerical models. One such item is the , which sometimes is slept on because of its more prominent and siblings. However, the 1400 is back with a hot new tan, and is sure to catch some stares.
Those already acquainted with this underrated NB will be familiar with its quality Made In USA construction, which selects the finest pigskin suede and herringbone mesh for the uppers. And because this edition is purely a lifestyle play, it ditches reflective heel tabs for more of the fuzzy stuff. The lining is similarly soft, with microfiber fabric caressing the feet (or any other body part that decides to wear these sneakers). Underfoot is an equally pleasing experience, thanks to the C-CAP insert wedged into the heel, ensuring stability and cushioning. Better yet, a gum rubber outsole makes an uncommon appearance on the 1400, which is always a welcome sight, and completes a complementary touch to the tan and white palette up top.
While the 1400 tends to be an IYKYK offering over in Japan, this tan edition will be releasing at Sneakersnstuff on October 31.
