The New Balance 991 Mixes Blue and Grey

The beautiful Made in UK New Balance 991 is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and has been doused in a slew of celebratory outfits. Keeping the party going, New Balance are looking to mix blue and grey to create a brightly-hued iteration that’s sure to command attention.

Originally releasing in 2001, the NB991 is mostly known for its grey colour combos that have been composed using premium materials. And while the muted-tone joints are usually everyone’s favourite, this year’s vibrant colourways have been gaining some traction.

This recent version has been constructed with a subtle grey mesh base, and the overlays see premium nubuck covered in a light blue. The usual reflective aspects have been added, along with two-tone midsole, silver N logo, and clean 991 hit on the rear. Down below, ABZORB tech has been added.
