The New Balance 997H is Sharply Shaded

2019’s updated is a lifestyle edition of the heritage runner. Despite the modern nip-tuck, the next colourway pays tribute to the bright hues of its muse’s era.

See above in the essential suede, mesh and leather combination, injections of teal and pink turn an otherwise drab colourway into an exciting, vibrant one.

The rest is classic New Balance comfort with its lightweight midsole, and ergonomic upper that doesn’t suffer from the bulbous toebox that its peers are prone to.

An exercise in constraint, this 997H has just enough colour without going overboard. Pretty, pretty good.
