The Nike Air Max 90 Puts Blue on Blue

The Nike  Air Max 90 is preparing to put blue on blue for what some observers are referring to as a UNC-inspired colourway. Dominated by a deep navy blue, this drop gets contrast via the white midsole and side Swooshes, plus a lighter blue that hits various branding points across the upper.

While January seemed like a relatively quiet month for the Air Max 90, as it seemingly recovered from a big 30th anniversary year in 2020, the popular Air Max model sure has filled newsfeeds in the last couple of weeks. The latest influx has included a crisp crimson colour scheme, an  Easter-themed pastel  rendition, a  cork-infused look, an  onigiri-inspired  drop, and an electric Miami combo for the golf course.

It has been a strong return to form for the retro silhouette that is so beloved within the sneakersphere that one of Sneaker Freaker’s writers claims it’s the best Air Max design to ever come out of Beaverton. Do you agree? Read the case for the affirmative right  here.
